Sweater Pattern Roundup

Sweater Pattern Roundup

When is the last time you cast on a sweater? I love knitting them - while it’s a larger investment in time and yarn, it’s such a rewarding project! I have rounded up a collection of patterns that are perfect for year-round wear.

Jessie Maed Bubble Sweater

Bubble V Crop by Jessie Maed Designs

I’m working on this pattern right now and I’m so excited to wear it! It’s a cozy cute pattern with a fitted waist and cropped length. I really love the playful bubble sleeves.

All of Jessie Maed’s designs are size inclusive up to a bust size of 62” included the intended ease of the garment but this pattern notes that it is intentionally designed with less ease in the larger sizes.

 trumpet sleeve knitted sweater

Sweater with Trumpet Sleeves by Ryo / りょう

A drapey tunic with leggings is a classic go-to outfit and I love the simple details on this sweater! The subtle ribbing and lace detail is perfectly pretty and the trumpet sleeve perfectly mirrors the sweater’s silhouette.

The charcoal grey is a fabulous choice for this neutral but can you imagine it in a colourful hue?

long tunic sweater in grey

Pavement by Veera Välimäki

Doesn’t this look like the perfect go-to simple sweater? It looks great here with denim but it offers enough length and movement to pair with your favourite pair of leggings. It’s knitted in the round and is seamless.

rift cropped sweater pattern

Rift by Jacqueline Cieslak

The Rift pattern is full of awesome options - taking it far beyond a “basic tee” pattern. It’s knit from the bottom up and includes two neckline options, optional bust darts, short and long sleeve, and a custom fit bicep. It looks like such a versatile and cute pattern!

cozy knit sweater with balloon sleeves

Sweater No. 6 by My Favourite Things

This slightly oversize sweater is a snuggly raglan featuring balloon sleeves. I adore how the sleeve elevates an otherwise simple and classic design. While the pattern has a fairly short fit, it is knit top down so you can adjust the length to your preferences.

classic sweater knit with green yarn and pocket

So Basic Sweater by Maxim Cyr

The So Basic sweater is a perfect example of how a simple and timeless silhouette can be elevated to something beautiful when made with love and a gorgeous yarn! I can definitely see myself knitting this for several family members and friends.
